It worked! Didn’t have an offset wrench but this breaker bar did the trick with a ninja chop.

Now ... backed out the jam nut and adjusted the Allen screw with a 1/2 turn backed out once I felt some tension.

2 questions...1) when it’s time to lock down the jam nut will a ninja chop do the trick? I suspect this jam nut doesn’t need too much torque.

2) when I tightened up my clutch cable I noticed that I had more cable slack to remove. Not a lot but enough for me to see a little more thread
is this normal?

thanks!!!

No ninja chop needed, just snug.

When you tighten the jam nut, just make sure you're keeping the adjuster screw in the adjusted position with an Allen wrench. Snug up the nut, then do your cable adjustment. It's normal for the cable adjustment to be different than it was before the clutch adjustment.

Cheers!

You need a wrench, that socket and breaker bar won't do the job properly.

Do you prefer a NINJ-E chop over a JOOD-E chop?

A light ninja tap, this appliccation calls for very little torque.
Most folks over torque it and throw the adjustment off, then they come back wondering whats wrong.
I tighten it within those inch pounds torque specs, use another wrench and tap the main wrench lightly. Done!

Thanks for the advice! i actually put a small marker mark on the top of the allen head and the clutch plate while tightening gently the jam nut just to be doubly sure the adjustment remained.
thanks again folks.
