Most of those I know could never afford one of those fancy enclosed trailers, we built ours
Even used lawn trailers a time or two, that meant 2X4 if the scoot was lowered...eek

I've been collecting all the goodies to build an open but cool little one bike trailer just for hauling scooters.
I was living in the city when I started the idea and then it dawned on me it will be stolen in a week if I finish
it, so pulled it all apart and stored it away...Soon to be together. I'll post pics to give the trailer haters
something to b!tch about here soon.

I was going to point out the 55mph backwards so you could see it in your mirror but you beat me to it. Hattitude drives at 75 with his! LOL!
I also use the sheepskin straps where the fender meets the lower legs. On the rear of my trailer I have a "D" ring in the floor right behind the rear wheel. I run a small 1" strap through the rim to hold it down. Let the suspension ride!

Never got the Heritage but I used a U-Haul trailer to go pick up a 2009 Softail Custom today. My straps were too long or I didn't try hard enough to figure out how to secure to the forks at fender so I secured them to the lower tree at the forks. Like a dummy I had the strap above the turn signals and they slid down a little. Noticed it when I stopped for a quick check after first couple miles. Other than that everything went great. The new to me bike is in the garage. Can't beat it. $26 total for the rental including tax and a $8 charge for some kind of insurance. I was moving to quick to see what it was and I wasn't going to argue over $8.
