Default Night Train Build! Am I crazy

Hello all. This has been my covid build and I am getting close to finishing this bike. Started its life as a 2006 Night Train FXSTBI.

I really like the clean look of TBW. After doing hours of research and going over schmetics I believe I have an idea on how to install the TBW on a twin cam 88. Only issue i can see is the BCM.

So what I am looking into is installing the wiring harness from a 2011 FLSTSE2 CVO Softail. This will allow me to run a Thundermax ECM with a custom map, have TBW plus give me the wide band O2 sensors. Currently the engine is only stage 2 but plan on changing that in the future.

Question I have are:
Has anyone ever ran into issues getting a BCM flashed without having a vin for it since my 2006 softail vin wouldn't work with the newer BCM.

Deleting ABS as the 06 doesn't have it. Don't want codes.

Luckily I already have the harness, twist grip sensor and TBW throttle body.

Looks awesome man, good job. I really like powder coat on the engine.

Where did you get the tank console? Is it 1 piece?

Yep you are completely out of your mind. But it looks like it is going to come out well and if you like it then go totally nuts and finish it. One of the better I have seen in that type ride in some time at this point.

Yes you are crazy, but some will say thats a good thing. Since you're doing such a drastic change on how the bike runs, I think that the only people that could answer that question are the Tundermax people. I doubt many here would have first had experience on changing from cable to wire throttle.

I love it. I recently joined the night train gang, and I loved messing around / rehab-ing the bike. Lots of possible directions to go in the future. You have done some serious work on that ride, and I dig it 100%. Can't wait to see the final product.

Can you post a pic of your console?

Like where you're going with the build, that is primo.
Electronics and wiring harness you have will not get around codes. You'll have to touch base with those kit builders to see what they offer.
I could be wrong, first thing went thru my mind.

LookIng good man.. I’m thinking like Dan with the internal throttle.Way less work and expense to achieve the same look. Digging the color especially on the headlight ,been meaning to do that but never got around to doing it.Bike is going to flow nicely. G.

This was offered by Harley back in the early 2000's as an upgrade. It originally was all chrome. Harley since discontinued the kit but I was able to order each item separate. was stupid expensive.
