One simple thing you can try. Are you riding with a wallet in your back pocket ? If you are try riding without it. It maybe your problem.

Removing my wallet and pulling the bars back a couple inches solved my back pain problem. Myright hand still gets numb, but that's a carpal tunnel problem (getting that fixed this winter).

Thanks guys, I have been riding on and off about 20 years, longer rides in the past 5 years though. I did the wallet trick and that seemed to help a little. I am going to work on the bars, back rest, and windshield now. I find myself straining to look over or through the windshield, I am going to install a shorter windshield. I appreciate all of the feedback!!

Putting on apes will solve the problem....

 

I take advil on long rides... It works for me.
