Oil Bud Oil Cooler

I researched Oil Bud as well as a few others extensively when I was shopping oil coolers.
The concern I had with the Oil Bud is it was not fan assist so obviously in stop and go traffic there's no air flowing through the cooler.
They said that's OK due to their design and that's probably true but common sense tells me that fan assist would be better.
Through out my research I found myself comparing all oil coolers to just one so I got the "just one".

Had my Ultracool on for 2 years and have been very pleased with it.

Agree with Bluraven on Ultra Cool.. The Harley premium cooler I used for 13 years did fine until I went with a bigger motor. Oil very rarely topped 235 in summer traffic. Now bigger motor and more compression I was seeing 260 + and no longer able to do any riding in stop and go after short runs. Unacceptable.to me. Looked at everything out there and kept going back to the Ultra Cool. Heafty price tag but worth every penny They advertise 210 and thats where your oil stays. I’ve been out On dozens of runs since install and not once have I seen any temps over the 210 mark. I’ve checked with 3 different digitalis from work with the same results.
Fans really put out air once they kick on.Get out in free traffic and they go off. System functions as advertised. I know it will add years to my motor.Install straight forward.Took me 2 hours and fit and finish of all pieces I used the Flo filter that’s also a little on the pricey side but I’ll never have to buy another oil filter. Machine work on everything is top notch.

Here's pics of mine.
The fans don't run all the time.
I believe they come on when the oil temp hits 220 degrees and go off at 200.
The system comes with an optional LED light that turns on whenever the fans are running.
Since I'm running a Reckless fairing on my Heritage I went ahead and mounted the light.

Oil bud . Oil cooler
I run one. The beauty is it's mostly hidden under your motor and tucked between the left and right frame rails. Works as intended and keeps from uglying up the front of your engine area which also needs free flowing air. Give a call it can't hurt. Bud even offered to install mine if I took a ride down to Helena Montana. Easy day ride for me and I wanted to get out for a ride. Good to his word, he did the install right in his business airplane hanger . My oil cooler works. Folks don't see it. Leaves room on your down tube to install a remote oil filter set up.
