I was wondering if any of you guys on here live anywhere close to southern illinois? If so what dealer would you recommend buying from? I am planning on purchasing a new fatboy at the end of Feb. 06 unless I can get a better deal sooner. The dealer I am leaning to so far is Dale's HD in Mt. Vernon IL. The salesmen there was very helpful and he showed me alot of attention even though I told him I didn't plan on buying for a few more months. He let me test ride all the bikes I wanted and gave me alot of useful info. If anyone knows of a better dealer around my area I would like to here about your experience there. Thanks.

 

Don't know how their service is, but Ted's in Alton, IL. sells at MSRP. Each bike has the MSRP on it and that's the price, plus freight and tax of course.

 

Ya know, I'm not a salesman, so I have no ax to grind. But if the Mt. Vernon guy treated you well, that would mean a lot to me in deciding on the purchase. When you take into account your time to travel elsewhere, gas, etc. are you really going to save that much money?
Just my opinion.
