Can you show us a picture of the heads and breather bolt areas? Maybe the Oil pump housing/Crankcase area as well...

The smaller bolts are for the earlier heads I think. Get the right S & S air cleaner and it will have the larger bolts, and correct backing plate. Be patient. Every time I open up my Harley it's always an incredible Journey. Part of the fun I have come to enjoy while I am wrenching. The new S & S carb and air cleaner is the right way to go. You are almost there!

Everything looks Ship Shape to me. The thread holes for the breathers in your heads look small to me. (early Evo?) I cant tell. Inside, it looks like a later Evo set up. The Oil pump isn't OEM either. Some work must have been done at some point. Lets assume that the previous owner changed the Oil pump and made it a head breather. Might have changed the crankcase Oil vent as well. Either way, consider it a head breather now. (92 up?) Your head breather ports do look small. You will need to consider this when looking at any OEM head breather/air cleaner system. I would contact S & S directly, since you bought one of their new carburetors, and deserve some "Technical Assistance". I'm willing to believe they can help you out.

thanks for replying...thats what kind of started this , i had ordered it for a 91, and theirs no banjo/breather bolts for a top breather motor, just plain bolts to mount the backing plate, i had emailed them and havent got a reply yet to verifiy if i had got a complete or appropriate kit..no response yet/tried callin also..nothen yet..needin answers over the carb itself too.i noticed the enricher would only lift about 1/8 of an inch..maybe little more, verified linkage was not the problem also..

Everything but the breather port size seems to be applicable to later 92 heads. I would only consider this as a last resort... Drilling the breather ports out larger and tapping them correctly would seem to fix your problem. I don't feel qualified to tell you to do this. See if S & S has a solution first.
Contact the previous owner if possible, and see what the history is. If not available, I bet we are pretty close in our assumptions. I am guessing that you have early Evo heads, mixed with a late Evo breather rocker boxes, and late Evo style Oil pump. The fact that the breathing vents were "venting to the atmosphere" is a clue here. Somebody previously cobbled this together, and it needs to be fixed.
S & S has good customer service. I would defer to them for a viable solution.

This kit comes with both size breather bolts. Use it in combo with the carb support bracket unless you use the S & S cv carb back plate.

This is a good crankcase breather filter

This is a good carb support bracket. I have used it on my Evo
