Thanks. But my comment was because the side cover comes in a couple of styles depending on the bike. On mine, it also covers the ride adjustment mechanism so that's the style I need.

And this observation was made in post #2.

This option should work (I think?).

Remove the **** from the pre-load adjuster, and relocate the adjuster under the seat like the Heritage Classsic. Purchase, and install the chrome covers found on the Deluxe.

I think this is what I'd do. I got a breakout. It has the external ****. Pretty handy, but actually, set it/forget it. It wouldn't bother me to relocate it at all. I thought about putting chrome covers on too.

If you're reasonably handy to a dealer and your local January weather allows it, I would suggest riding in, remove your side cover and compare it to a Deluxe. You could call first and see if they have the covers or a new bike in stock. Also, a 107 Heritage Classic would work. For 2020, if you buy a 107 you get chrome covers, while the 114 remains black.
OTOH, if the parts book shows the same p/n's for a Deluxe or Heritage pair of covers as it does for your bike, I think you could go with that and order a chrome set. Maybe somebody already said that above, I'm a bit foggy this morning.

Default Sport Glide side cover

Thanks all. Here's the plan of action. I'm going to seek out the exact cover, if it exists, on another soft tail (with exterior ride adjuster). If it does not exist, then I'll relocate the ride adjustment (great idea and should work). Thanks again for the assistance.

Just throwing this idea out there... would it be possible to get it hydro-dipped in chrome ?
Seems like an option, there is also is a chrome-paint option as well. I saw that process
done on an episode of West Coast Customs...

good luck,

T.
