Thanks Marsh, but it's gone in a week. The painter told me yesterday the new sheet metal should be ready by this weekend.

In my opinion Sanfords bile is a classic. Love the colors.

I think that it would have to be an older bike like 20 - 25 years old. Not real sure about that, just an opinion.
And welcom to the Forums.

I'm a new rider and I am new to the forum. I've only been riding for 3 months.
I bought aa '98 Heritage Classic, with 3500 miles on it. I was just wondering if anyone knowswhat actually qualifies a bike asbeing considered aclassic?

RE: When Is a Bike a Classic?
Your bike becomes a "Classic" the day you buy it and get it home from the dealership.... It's in the eye of the beholder!
On a serious note, DMV usualy will give a designation of 20-25 years for "Classic" or "Antique" plated this gives you a break on registration and usualy eliminates emisions and other items required to meet specifications for the operation of your vehicle on the road. The down side is most states limit the the operation of the vehicl to evnts, show, parades and Sunday only driving. This varies from state to state.
Others define the term Classic as a vehicle that stood out from the norm of the vehicles from the era they were prominaent in.
For instance the 1970 Plymouth Superbird and 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger were "Classics" and were in limited availability only because the number built was in direct relationsip in what NASCAR deemed neccisary to have in the civilian market (200) before it could qualify on the circuit. There are many other examples this was just a few.
