RE: slipon mufflers
What is the reccommendation for a good slip on. I was told that I dont have to recalibrate my 07 night train computer for slip-ons. Any thing more than slip-ons and any modifications to air filtering would require computer re-programming. so I just want a good sounding slip on for now until I can save up enough money to pay the 1500 buck for pipes, fuel recal system and air box upgrade and have the darn thing dyno'd

A lot depends on your taste, how loud you wnat them to be, and how much money your willing to part with.
SE slip on's work and look nice, but most people think they are not worth the money and are too quiet.
Rush makes a decent grade, nice sounding, reasonably priced "twin" (looks wise) to the SE. Its got one thing going for it besides the price, replacable baffles. If you think its making too much or too little noise, you can change them.
If you like the original look there is Khrome Werks who make a tapered style (like the original) that's supposed to be a decent if pricey replacement that's really just a high grade glasspack, as well as ones that look like the Rush or SE's.
Most of the rest you might be better off just replacing the entire system. And I would think about what your future plans are for the bike and get the pipes that will work with them down the road. Pipes and even slip on's are not cheap, so why spend money for a setuptoday that your going to have, want, or needto replace later, plan ahead and you'll save yourself money, time, and agrivation.

I put the Rush 25301 slash cuts on my wife's 07 FLSTC. I got the 2 inch baffels, and then modified them to be a bit quieter. I am also making some custom baffels for them, that won't need repacking. They are built simular to the way we used to make silencers for our pistols, and can be made as quiet or loud as prefered. Don
