Yes the bike was torn down. I did it all myself.... never have done anything like it before. Yes, it took me six months. I had to gather resources, money and education. Look, it all went back together correctly and ran perfectly for 3 months after until this noise. It is quite possible that I'm dealing with rocker slop, apparently a common thing with older TC88's. Taking it apart this weekend.

Exhaust stud nuts torqued? A buddy of mine developed an engine noise which turned out to simply be a missing nut (and a very loose exhaust...)
Also I can attest to the Rockout rocker lockers. I didn't have a super noisy engine to start with but it definitely quietened my top end. It sounds like a sewing machine now.
