Give the Heritage a lighter look
#11
I've been looking at fenders for 2005 and back softail for the rear but I want to make sure I am buying the right fender so I looked at J&P Cycle part # 7110340 2000-2005 Softail but when I look at the fitment chart it says it won't fit my 2010 Heritage fuel injected. I assume that the cutout at the front is different for fuel injected . Am I missing something here ? What could be the difference ? I'm looking for something that would be a direct fit if possible .

Softail rear fender
I'm still looking for the answer to my last post . I looked up JP Cycle part # 7110340 which is supposed to fit softail from 2000-2005 as was suggested on here and they said it would not fit my 2010 Heritage Softail ( with fuel injection ) . What am I missing ? Was the 2005 and back not fuel injected ? And that is some difference in the fit ?

Almost time to part it out.
If the Heritage is not sold by the end of October I will start parting out all of the sheet metal, front end, seat, saddlebags , quick release sissy bar , and misc. parts from this perfect low mileage ( 8,600 miles ) black and chrome bike down to the basic frame and engine to start a custom build to suite my needs . When it happens I will post for sale all of the parts that I take off , one or all in a package deal .

Time is running out for this beautiful Heritage Classic . I hate to take the wrenches and saws to this 8,600 mile beauty but it doesn't suit my riding styles anymore , so if it isn't sold or traded by the end of October I will take it down to the basic frame and engine and build what I'm looking for . If anybody is within a reasonable distance from Pittsburgh, Pa . and you want to trade an equivalent Harley Wide Glide, Softail Custom, Night Train, etc. PM me . If you are in Pa. there is no sales tax on trades.

It's not that I don't like the Heritage , I love it but it doesn't suit my needs anymore since most of my riding is local now . I love the comfort , style, and the advantages of the six speed on open road . I'm looking for something for the short runs . I hate to dismantle this low miles bike but something else will better suit my needs . If someone has a super clean stock shovelhead I might be interested in that also .

I went with a heavier retro look for my street bob. After several years I went with a lighter look to change it up. I kept the 7" headlight but got rid of the passing lights. Softail slim front fender. Rubber fork sliders. Got rid of the bags and installed a fender rack. Replaced mustang vintage solo for mustang tripper.

Won't be parting it out until the end of October but the sissy bar and rack will be sold with the quick release side plates.
