Default Observation/Opinion of 07 Heritage

Hello everyone - love this Forum..thought I would share my latest experience with an new 07 Heritage Classic....from the advice on this board on my recent vacation mylady and I rented one from Buddy Stubbs HD in Phoenix (great experience - highly recommend them - good people)and put over 700 miles on it riding to and from the Grand Canyon last weekend. If anyone ever has the chance to take hiway 89A up through Jerome, Prescott, Sedona and Flagstaff....DO IT! Awesome ride.

Many of the same issues have been discussed at lengthon the forumbut I found very true:
The 96in engine runs very hot - much hotter than my 04 Fatboy. Factor in Phoenix heat and windscreen and you have one HOT ride!
The new 6 speed in my opinion is not geared right as I had to constantly shift in and outfrom 6-5-6and 5th gear is VERY noisy....thought it was going to pop out of the case and constantly whined and clattered...extremely hard to get used to even after the dealer told me it would make a little noise. My 2 cents.

Take care all...J
