Default 02 sensors

My Samson true duals did not come with the 02 sensors or a place the put them. Did they ship the wrong parts or does my mechanic need to use the OEM with them? Thanks,Jeff hatch574@gmail.com

Sounds like they sent you the wrong ones or you ordered for the wrong year bike. I think 2007 - up use O2 Sensors

Give them a quick call...

Id give them a call. I just went to the Samson site and the 2012 and newer softails are all the same exhaust. The true duals description doesn't state that they have O2 sensor bungs
https://samsonusa.com/shop/true-dual...s-for-softail/

But the other exhaust for 2012 and newer softails it does state they have O2 sensor bungs https://samsonusa.com/shop/softail-cannons/

If that is correct you will have to have the pipes drilled and welded for O2 sensors, there are also after market kits to add bungs for the sensors that only require drilling and then you clamp the bung in place and attach sensor.

It appears you have an '07+ bike that uses O2 sensors....???

All exhausts I know of, will NOT ship new O2 sensors with their exhausts...

Many will have the O2 sensor bungs, with plugs, for all years that use the same mounting pattern... That way if you have an O2 sensor bike, you use your OEM O2 sensors, if you have a non-O2 sensor bike, you run the exhaust with the plugs in the O2 bungs..

It sounds like the model of the Sampson exhaust you ordered, does not have O2 bungs.... If you need them, then as stated above, you ordered the wrong exhaust for your bike.. if they don't make that exhaust w/O2 sensors for your bike, and it fits otherwise, you can add the O2 bungs to the exhaust...

Exactly, I have an 06 but I ordered the 07 version and used Plugs. This way in the event I used a Dynojet Power Commander that needed O2 sensors I could always add them.
