Default 21" wheel on Deuce

I was reading that that the deuce skinny front wheel is hard to control because it wants to dig in to cracks and wants to flop in on turns, (whatever the **** that means)

can any deuce riders tell me how it handles with the front wheel

thanks

I put 700 miles on a duece in 3 days, and never once had any problems. I've put over 5000 miles on my std softail, and it's been the same thing. NO PROBLEMS. Now the solid rear rim on the duece, they can have that...

Cross wind. I never would have thought the solid rear rim would make a difference, but after riding my Std Softail all year, and then riding a duece for a weekend, it was noticable. Was it bad to the point of not being safe? NO. Would I notice it if I started out on a duece? Probably not.

I have to agree with everyone hear, no problems with my deuce. I had a shadow ace with a big front tire (similar to the fatboy I think) before the deuce. IMHO the small tire on the deuce feels much better ridding over groves and uneven pavement.

I don't have a deuce, but I do have a springer with a 21" tire on it and I don't have any problems with it. I think that somebody was just unhapy with their's and they wanted to cry about it. Personally, I like the skinny front tire look, works for me.

the solid rear wheel might be a problem in a hurricane! other than that i think it handles better than some rice bikes i've had...
