How have others removed the intake manifold on a 98 fatboy. The tanks and carburetor have been removed. I see no easy way to access the bolts for removal of the intake manifold (at least with the tools that I have). I'd also like to know how to torque the bolts after the gaskets have been replaced.

 

I've done it on my 99 to replace intake gaskets....it takes time an patience. I think it was a 1/4 allen an I have a few different lengths an cut a piece off one an used a small wrench to turn it. I managed to do it with the tank on so you should be able to get in there. If I remember right one side is slotted so you don't have to remove that bolt all the way. some places market a tool for it like this
