Default d08SEt trouble code

2000 Heritage. Engine light went on during a ride. Speedo was acting weird too. Dropped to zero then back to speed. Light went on twice during ride. Got home and checked codes and d08SEt was what came up. Anyone had this happen or know what it means?

Thanks 702. I had seen that and checked the connections to speedo. No corrosion at all. Anyone else have this code come up?

You mentioned you checked the connection at the speedo , but did you check the connection at the other end ? Just checking .

I've been doing some research , and from what I understand " dO " means overcharge . The page that I checked said to test your regulator and your stator . If your bike is overcharging it will cook your battery .

Doing a volatge check on your bike might reveal what you have going on . Connect a voltmeter to your battery and see what readings your getting . If you get more than 14.8v at around 2000rpm that would be your issue .

Hope you get it solved .
