'07's getting a bad rap?
How many out there are dissatified with their '07's. Having read so many posts complaining about the '07 bikes, I can't help but wonder how many people really have issues with their '07.
My '07 Heritage just turned 10K miles. The only mods to the engine were: S.E.II slip-ons, S.E. air cleaner kit, and Stage 1 re-map. I always use 91+ octane fuel.
I just returned from a 3500 mile trip that included Needles CA and Phoenix AZ. The temps here were 111-115 degrees. I also had the bike into 8-10K feet elevation, that included steady climbs in 4th and 5th gear.
I rode in heavy traffic in the larger cities and open roads in the rural areas.
My average speed for the entire trip was 68mph, using 5th and 6th gear. The average gas mileage for the trip was 53mpg. The best it got was 57mpg.
I was on the road for 14 days and really enjoyed the bike. I never once had an excessive heat problem, oil temp never exceeded 260, engine pinging, engine surging, hard starting, clutch adjustment problems, or any other problems for that matter.
I for one, am very happy with my '07 Heritage.
How about the rest of you?

RE: '07's getting a bad rap?
I put 6500 on my 07 standard and the only issue I had was a leaking oil tank that was replaced under warranty and the two recall issues that were also taken care of. I don't really think any of those were any different than any new year bike being sold. I was completely happy. Now I own an 07 Heritage so we will see what I have with that the rest of the summer.
I will say this though. U sure can notice when it's brand new.... I noticed on the Heritage that shifting is a bit stiff or finding nuetral can be a bitch sometimes. Where my standard was broke in and everything was smooth. Even opening up the key cover to unlock it is hard now..... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh new.
