Default How to get to/disconnect fuel gauge on Slim

I try to replace fuel gauge on the left side of the tank but not sure how to get to this plug under the tank. Is this clip attached to gas tank tunnel? This clip is not visible under the tank and I dont want to damage something. Hope no tank removal is needed to get to this connection. Any tips would be appreciated.

You don’t need to remove the tank. If you have small hands you can just reach up under the tank and disconnect the cable. You might need a small screwdriver though if your hands are too big. Or you could simply unbolt the tank and lift it up a bit. Be careful not to scratch your front rocker box. I have my tank off if you want to see pictures of the clip. Let me know.
