A 2-1 properly tuned will actually help with your mpg. As for removing the baffles, I wouldn't..... Power and mileage will go down.

Default 98 FatBoy rebuild

I just read over your FatBoy rebuild conversation. Can't help but jump in here. I just picked up a 97 that I'd like to get back into stock condition. Before you start cutting up that exhaust, give me a shout and perhaps we can help one another out.
