Turbo 2002 Hayabusa (300 hp on standard PUMP gas). Water injection two stage - single turbo... 4# of boost for around town and 10# of boost (stage 2) for all out fun!!! Sits nicely next to the Fatboy. long rides = Fatboy... feel like taking a sports car out for a drive type day = Turbo Busa

no wrist issues with the busa (have a 1.25 inch lift on the stock bars) and a lower seat. Its not even close to any Harley for power and speed. I can easily be going 70 mphs in 3rd gear... Just not alot of room to carry stuff and not comfortable for a full day ride or a weekend trip.

My sport bike is a 1988 Honda NT 650 (aka Hawk GT) -
I really wanted one of those when they first came out. They were so far ahead of their time.

As heritage07 said "If I had a sport bike I wouldn't be alive to answer this question." I would love one in addition to the HD,but the temptation to "twist it all the way" and try to corner like Rossi, would be too great and I ai'nt that good. Luckily my dodgy right kneescreams at me just sitting on them. I'll stick to HD's and forward controls for my fun.

a built sportser faster than a 170+ hp sportbike @ $11k out of the box. im not seeing it!!
I believe that he was refering to the stop light to stop light wars, not an all out ***** to the wall top speed contest.
My pick for that kind of bike would be a Buell, maybe with a turbo on it for a little more kick.
nope not even stop light to light... the Busa pulls like a freight train from stop until you let off the throttle. stock with an aftermarket exhaust it pushes 170 hp at the rear wheel and is probably as light as a sportster. A Buell.. well thats a little torquey bike. Test rode their largest Buell at the test drive days and you hammer that light to light, you have your hands keeping the front end down. its a short wheel base street fighter.

They are awsome machines
I just don't think they don't belong on the street.

Myson has a friend who rode over one day on his nice bright blue little Yamaha R6, and I couldn't resist the temptation to give it a "try". I figured what the hell you only live once. It was a nice enough bike, real quick, great brakes, handled really nice. Everything was fine until I went to stop in front of the house. That's when I discovered that contrary to my minds image, I was not the young 'flexable' personIwas when I started riding over 35 years ago.
It took both of them to catch me and hold the bike up so I could unfold some very very cramped muscles, and uncooperative joints. The sad part is I only rode it around the neighborhood so I never got it out of about 4th gear without putting more than amile or two tops on it.
