Your sales folks aren't much of any help to folks like us outside of the US. I have asked several times for a comparable seat to the Tallboy Harley offers and all i get is a blank soulless response asking me to check the website, well, I need help here and I am asking for guidance.

 

You are expecting a third party vendor to go out and buy a Harley factory seat so that they compare it to one of their own? Just to be able to provide you with an apples to apples comparison? Might just be me but that seems a bit over the top.

I and many others have posted detailed reviews of the Explorer seat, along with pictures. Take some time and look for them and you may find the answers you're looking for.

Your reply seemed pretty clear. If I got it wrong, my mistake. Why don't you try to explain it a bit more clearly. Did you expect them to know the difference between their seat, and one they probably don't own?

 

I wanted to know if they had a seat that was comparable to the Harley Davidson Tallboy in their product line. They eventually responded to me and let me know that they do not have seats that cater to the fairly long-legged customer. Their recommended seat will sit like the stock seat which isn't great for long-legged folks.

 

I'm 6'1" and 225lbs. As I've explained in other posts the Explorer sits you up AND back 2" each way. I included close-up pictures of that seat and the stock seat for comparison. If you search you might find it. I don't know what the tall boy offers but if you know the difference between it and the stock seat, then compare that to the pictures I included of the Explorer, you'll have your answer.

 

Thanks. we are the same height so this clarifies. it's actually weird that the Saddlemen team don't seem to know their product and how it stacks up against the brand they are trying to cater for

Thank you for contacting us. We have three seats available for that model of bike. The Explorer being the best for longer rides. All of these seats will be of the same seating position as stock. Unfortunately none of these seats for this model of bike are designed for the taller rider, as like the "tall boy" seat. The length of the rider seat for the Explorer is at 14" from nose to lumbar.
