Would like to recommend Custom Dynamics LED replacemnt lighting for tail, and turn signals. Just redid my rear tail and turn signals with CD Tripple Play module which makes the tail and turn signal into all Run, brake and turn. Need to replace the Amber turn singals with Red to meet DOT requirements, but does make a BIG BIG diference in the visibility of the bikes rear.
Run mode. Quite bright. What looks Yellowish in photo is actually Red.
Brake mode. Very bright. The tripple Play module has 10 various strobe setting to choose from. Also, turn signals work as normal.
IMHO you don't need extra lights with this install.

Agree on upgrading your existing lights to LED's.
My old '13 Slim only had the two bullet turns that acted as run-brake-turns.
I added a Custom Dynamics light bar in place of the reflector and upgraded the bullets to CD LED's also.
Trust me, people will stop tailgating immediately - those things were painful to look at.

I have the same setup as FrankEV. I agree - those lights are bright. And you have lots of options to flash the brakelights. I don't think there's much more you can do to prevent being rear ended than this setup besides taking away all cell phones and putting a breathalyzer in every automobile on the road.
