Help with Breakout prices
Hello all. I need some opinions on used bike pricing. Looking for a used Breakout and prices are from $13k for a stock 2013 to about $19k for a stock 2016. The one I found that I am most interested in is a 2015 with 8,000 miles. Dyno tuned, Stage 1 upgrade, lowered, chrome turbine wheels and upgraded grips, pegs and a few other odds and ends. Runs and looks beautiful. Asking $15,500. Is it worth what is a couple thousand over NADA pricing ? Not sure where I need to be without over paying too much. Any input would be helpful.

Definitely a great deal. I think I am factoring all the upgrades which I know will cost me at least 5k. Not sure but don't like the 18's and 19's for some reason.

I bought my 2016 Breakout (w/ABS and security) for $17225. I bought it new. But because it had been sitting on the dealer showroom for just over 2 years, I also knew that stock on the floor cost them money in the interest in the business loan they got to buy that stock and the taxes they pay on that inventory every quarter, so I knew going in that they really need to move it off the floor as the 2018s were already on the floor and selling! I told them I was not going to "take it in the azz" for 2 years worth of depreciation riding it off their lot. I also knew going in that a used 2016 Breakout was worth $17990 dealer retail and had a trade in of around $14300. They started out at $19900 (original price was $21000) and I told them "no way". I was also trading in my 2014 Honda CTX700D (with ABS and 6 speed automatic transmission) of which was valued at $5255 and I still owed $2200 on. After dickering back and forth, I rolled it out the door for $17225 ($726 under dealer retail), with no money down and the gave me $5255 for my CTX700D with no negative equity rolled over into the Breakout.

I just picked up a 2016 Breakout as a “second bike”. Found it with 1700 miles, V&H Big Radius, FP3, Air Cleaner and apes for $15.5K. Almost better-than-new. Had to change the bars to something I like (Carlini) and extend the foot controls, but other than that she’s ready to go (except the eventual Shotgun Shock).
i rose a new 114 which was nice, but can’t get over the small gas tank. Aside from the short range, it looks to metric to me. Deal breaker.
Love the 16! Big difference from the FLHTK, but a lot of fun to switch back/forth....
Here’s a pic (pre bar swap)..

Yes, I was planning to. The previous owner said they were Paul Yaffee Monkey Bars, however I don’t see this conifiguration on their site. So I am not sure. I have the stock risers (which he had grinned out inside to fit) if you’re interested.
The bars are stepped down to 1” at the riser clamp section. Someone welded a piece of 1.25” tubing over the stepped down part to make them fit the breakout riser. You can’t see it at all once they’re mounted.
Shoot me an email and send some pics.
