Default Sheet Metal Change (Custom Paint)

I would appreciate some input. I always get the answers I need here.
Since I've decided not to sell the Heritage and get a bagger (for now) I'd like some opinions on this. A few years back, I had played around on ebay and picked up an extra set of sheet metal for my 00 Heritage. Took about 6 mo's, but they were good deals. ($400.00 total?) A stock tank, the "plain" front fender, and a rear fender for an FL springer. Just LOVE the tombstone tail light. As I was getting ready to paint, Harley comes out with (what else) the Deluxe. They stole my idea (yeah right . . . I don't reallybelieve that) But it did kind of shoot my idea down. I figured if I changed, everyone would just think I was trying to make my older bike look like the new one (not the nostaligic ride I pictured)
So, should I go ahead and do it???????? With paint, I'm thinking charcoal w/ghost flames. Nothing gawdy. I was thinking of the tombstone t/light with that Rick Doss "V" t/sig lite bar.

Thanks (as always)

Why the hell not? Have fun with it and the hell with what anyone else thinks or says.
Its your bike, make it look the way YOU want it to.

Go for it, make your bike yours and customize it to your liking. Your opinion is the only one that truley matters. Sounds cool to me though, so I'd like to see it done...
