Default Vehicle Speed Sensor

On the way back from Las Vegas Bike Fest I notice the odometer was not working, speedo needle stuck, turn signals don't work, tach does not work, and auxiliary lights did not work. Other than that the bike ran fine the next 475 miles home. I'm thinking maybe it is the vehicle speed sensor in the transmission is the problem. Bike is an '03 Fatboy with a carb, 44k miles. Any thoughts?

I had the same problem with my '97 Springer. I tried cleaning the sensor which worked for about 2 blocks then the turn signals quit cancelling, odometer & speedo quit, speedo stuck at 38mph. Changed the sensor everything worked again. It's definitely the sensor .
