Default Is this right?

Alright the guy I bough my Night Train from said he’s lowered the front end well i pulled the forks down and can’t tell what’s he’s done to them they obviously sit a little lower than stock but it’s not a progressive kit. But my question is the placement of the washer on the forks. One was on top of the fork tube under the top tree but the other side was on top of the tree under the fork plug (nut)

Haha and yes that’s one of my 120lb dumbbells holding the front end down the bike started feeling a little heavy after taking the front end off, I thought I had the jack positioned a little better than I did

I would have to look in the service manual but is does not make sense that the washers are placed different (unless one is still sticking underneath the tree??).

The adjustment of the fork height is inside the fork, he may have changed the spacers in there... I don't think those little rings are going to make much difference in ride height.

Worthwhile investing in a service manual!!

I’ve got the factory Harley 2009 Softail repair manual on the way. But I did find out that the washer belongs under the nut on top of the tree.

they definitely go on top of the tree. If he lowered it it is possible he cut the spring or spacer
