I just picked up my 07 Deluxe and love it. A lot different ride from my 06 NT. Question though...How does everyone like their handlebars and if they have changed them, what did they change them to.

I like the cruiser bars.

 

My wife is wanting to change them to something a bit closer...we are thinking FLSTC bars (and risers).

 

Love the bars it came with. Didnt realize how much until the other day when I brought it in for service and the HD dealer gave me a 07 Heritage to ride. My back still hurts from it. Actually the bike was way to big for me the way it was set up. I could barely tippy toe it. Felt like I was on the bike instead of in the bike like with my deluxe, which I can almost flat foot. But yeah, when i picked up the deluxe it felt like a mini bike after that and a great relief. I was grinnin ear to ear goin down the freeway at 70MPH in total control. yeah, I'm short at only 5'7" though.

 

I am 5'8". So I am thinking these are good bars too...I measured them tip to tip and they are 33 inches...which seems wide to me, but I guess as long as they are comfortable...

 

I'm gonna change because I want chrome! Buuuutt-----rotate them for the time being. It worked for me. I rotated them down just a little and they're fine for me.

 

Mine or rotated slightly too becasue the previous owner was vertically challenged even more than me. Still can't believe he traded it in for a Night Train - sorry NT owners, but I'm just a Deluxe maniac and can't understand that move at all. Especially if the dude was vertically challenged.....of course with some mods he may have been able to ride it - but comfortably?

His loss was my gain. He traded it in with only 100 miles on it and I got a screamin deal for a barely broken in 06 Deluxe.

 

I love the stock bars very comfortable

 

Apes for me, I have 14" now, going 16 or 18 soon!

My wife WAS against them until she rode it. I think she may be hooked and it looks like I'll be installing my 14" on her deluxe soon!

 

For the last couple weeks I have researching bars and was pretty much sold on going with some 10-12" apes. I keep asking myself after each ride why? I really have no complaints about the feel and ride of the stock bars. I would like to get somefatterchrome ones and loose the stock risers. Now I am trying to figure out which chubby bar will be close to the stock postition with 1 1/2" risers ? Holding up the chubby 504's to the bike today are close. Sat on a SE fat boy today. The narrow HD bikini bars feel pretty good also. Decisions decisions.
