Good morning friends!
2009 Heritage Softail Classic. When I use my signal lights SOMETIMES they will cancel out early on me before my turn. Is there a fix for this or what exactly should I be looking at?

What do you mean by early? They cancel out after a predetermined mileage, 1/8 mile seems familiar. They are not like in your car, they do not know if you made the turn. Just asking, not trying to be a ....

 

Get some electrical contact cleaner with the tiny red stray and squirt some up into the switch. Mine were randomly canceling early, late or not at all and that fixed it. Won't hurt to try it.

 

I have an earlier bike, 94 FXSTC, Mine are preprogrammed to cancel after 100 feet.
That's the rough distance between 2 telephone poles.
When you're approaching your turn, hold the button. The countdown doesn't start until you let it go.

 

Just like Ranger stated … "Hold the Button" … keep it pushed until you're closer to your turn … the timer starts after you release the button, not when you first press it … you'll figure out the right distance to release
