I'm pretty sure that you'll get a lot of different ideas on this but when I was looking for apes for my Springer, I bought some 16" chubbies from Wild 1 and I'm very happy with the service I got and the quality of the bars.

My best advice is whichever bars you end up going with make sure to buy riser clamps that you can pin. I have had two bikes with 14' apes. The first set was a cheaper no name set of bars and risers and I couldn't keep the bars tight to save my life, and it's not fun to hit a bump or hit the throttle hard and feel the bars move. On the second bike I went with Carlini bars and riser clamps and never had a problem. I really liked the apes but they definitely put more leverage on the clamps.

Another vote the the Wild 1 chubbies. Outstanding service and they will back 'em up years after purchase. I'll never go anywhere else, as long as they stay the same.

Wild 1s are great...also check out Khrome Werks. Both offer great bars and selection. L.A. Choppers are good too. I've used all 3.

Wild One and Carlini are the top ape hangers in my opinion.
