DOT mandates an illuminated license plate and the indicators have to be a certain distance apart. Hence this fugly looking rear fender attachment. Easy solution: Install a rear fender eliminator. Replete with a bracket for the license plate somewhere under the seat piece and then install an all-in-one flexible turn/brake LED tail light strip.

Then of course replace those even fuglier pipes with some true headers.

I think the bike will "work" then big time. Expensive yes but one only lives once.
