Angry 2018 Sport Glide Paint Chip

I haven't owned a road bike in over 35 years. 1,300 miles on the new Sport Glide and I noticed this chip/crack in the paint on the tank. Am I to assume this type of road rash normal or a paint defect? You made not be able to see it well but it appears as though the paint crack starts from the point of a very small impact point with no dent in the tank at all.

I doesn't look like it has been "keyed". Hard to describe but the paint appears to be cracked from a small impact point not scratched. I think I'll bring it by the dealership to see what they will say although I'm sure it will be considered road rash.

Its just that first scratch sucks. And I guess I'll know for sure after time whether or not its a crack or scratch if it starts to peel.

sucks! a really good detailer might be able to feather that back in. I doubt you will get Harley to see it as a defect but I would take good pictures and watch it closely over time. If it progresses, it is an underlying defect.
