Have you tried to start it with the filter off?

Just tried it....it runs for about 3 or 4 seconds and then dies.

If the plugs are black I'd replace them. The 3 or 4 seconds it does run,is it rough or smooth? And does it fire right up,or struggle?
Is the plug color a ash/flat black or more of a "wet" looking black?

When I took out the plugs about 5 hours ago, they were black. I just got back from class and tried again. It's cranked right up, but the idle was a tad bit high.

I emailed the Power Commander the guy told me that it's waterproof, but some water might have gotten into the connector...I'll check that out tomorrow. My mechanic here told me to change the plugs, so I'll try that tomorrow.

Harley Davidson spark plugs. According to the Fix My Hog guys, use nothing else - there is no substitute.

As for me? I've yet to change mine but will probably replace with HD when it's time.

The Harley plugs are cheap to replace. I'd remove the plugs to try to let any water evaporate.

I run an open filter as well and haven't had a problem but keep us updated just in case I do.

Start some self diagnostic testing. I'm willing to bet that your problem isn't related to a wet air filter. I would disonnect the powercommander and plug direclty into the ecm. It could very well be a faulty Power Commander. Give it a shot.......
