That's going to be loud!

I have one of their pipes on my Shovelhead and it's very loud indeed. Nice pipe though - RB certainly make good stuff....

I've emailed them to find out.
Thinking of getting one after warranty BUT I might need to muffle it a little.

I think their sound report is a byproduct resulting for their research and development.
you might end up hurting performance by reducing the decibel output.
that saud, been reading a lot regarding volumetric pressure. And am now stating to reconsider wether its worth opting for after market, other than looks and weight savings.
probably a tuner to help richen mixture, but I’m sure there’s a work around it.
Sorry to be such a **** blocker on this.I’ve thrown so much money at my bikes in the past needlesly. Eventually, you realize its just coloring and sweetner and no aid

Look on their site man https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/ ,their stuff is top shelf and the merge on that 2 into 1 is where the power is made.
We picked up 30 RWHP with just the right merge collectors on a Subaru with a centrifugal Supercharger , it's all about the merge dude ha ha !
In my email I asked if could they make it a little less loud.

Might as well order now. By the time your warranty expires they will just be getting around to making your exhaust.

I had their Black Hole Spyder pipe on my 07 Street Glide. It was a great pipe. The M-8 is a different beast though. Cam has low lift and duration, combustion chamber is shallow and requires less timing to perform well and it's more sensitive to a lack of back pressure than previous engines like the twin cam. With the proper cam, I'd like to see how it performs and how it sounds. Another poster mentioned the time it takes to make the pipe, I concur. Mine took the better part of a month and a half before I got mine.

I always take performance over looks. But might have to make an exception here. That is an ugly pipe imo.

Buy the Black Hole M8 pipe for the softail and you get great performance without excessive noise. Love my new pipe.
