From 2014 Lowrider to 2018 Sport Glide
#11
I find the ride to be firm with no harshness at all. Compared to my last daily, which was a 12' FLHX which had a horribly harsh ride from the factory. I am 200+/- pounds and am set at 2 on the rear shock. I like this bike so well from the factory I am planning NO mods at all, even the 5" windshield was a backward move for me.

The bike has been great for me. No peg scrapes in about 2,000 miles in the first month of ownership. Also the front fairing has been great and I have a 12in windshield on it. If you decide to buy one and are looking for a like new chrome harley quick detachable sissy bar let me know Going with a tour pak I think.

Love the bike, handles like a dream, rock solid and extremely well balanced. As others have said, the suspension is very well damped and handles most bumps and sharp hits surprisingly well. The front end is incredibly direct and confidence inspiring.
Far as scraping, I scrape the pegs fairly often, but mostly in the city while making quick lower-speed turns. Like when pulling onto a road where traffic is coming up fast and you wanna get in to a lane fast and get going. It scrapes predictably and doesn’t upset the chassis or suspension at all. But yeah it does scrape, more than my Street Glide.
Hope that helps!

f you still have it I would consider making a deal on your sissy bar after I have the bike in hand. Do you need to purchase additional hardware to attach the sissy bar when the bags are in place?
Thanks

I did go ahead and make the move to the 2018 Sport Glide. Picking it up on Tuesday. Can you pleasel tell me who's 12" windshield you went with. Do you feel like the 12" might be putting too much stress on the fairing at speed? I plan on getting a taller windshield immediately. I was able to get the dealer to throw in a two up tall boy seat that's due in later next week. Even though the Sport Glide has forwards it felt much closer than the forwards on my 2014 fxdl. After I get the seat on I'll measure for the windshield height.
