Default 2018 Softail passenger pegs and minifloor boards

Look what i found! Kuryakyn is now offering these for 2018 softails. This will at least allow for mini-floorboards.

Thrashin' Supply also makes mini floorboards for the '18 Softail line.

I didn’t know Thrashin” Supply was making anything for this. I just received my Kuryakyn adapters late last week. They’re not quite as wide at the connection as the OEM pegs, but they work. Paired them with their premium mini boards and the wife is happier.

when you say they are not quite as wide (referring to the mount) are you saying there's extra slop but they still work ok? How wide is the mount and do the pegs stay up and utilize the spring and ball to lock them up or down? A picture would be great. Thanks.

Sorry, I’m traveling for work right now, so I don’t have the ability to get pictures at the moment. Yes, they still work the same as the factory pegs, using the spring and ball system. Yes, they are a bit more narrow than the oem pegs, and I was really concerned that they’d be sloppy, but I didn’t get that feeling after install. They stay up with no problem.

WHAT?! I am going to be super frustrated if these adapters do fit the mounts for the '18 Softails. I just returned some Kuryakan mini-floor boards last week after their customer service rep told me they had no adapters for the 2018's and there was none in the works.

Yeah, that’s frustrating. They showed up in my dealership’s catalog, but not on the Kuryakyn website until this week. When my dealership called to get the details, they had just received 9 of these adapters from manufacturing with more coming. I got one of the nine. I’m happy with them. From memory, I’d say they are 1/16” more narrow than the oem peg connection, but nothing to worry about.

The picture showing the comparison is not a good representation. As you can see from the bottom picture, there is slightly more play with the Kuryakyn adapter, more than was present with the OEM peg. I checked them with a caliper and the OEM peg is 19.4mm and the Kuryakyn is 18mm. If anybody goes this route, which I do recommend as it appears to be the only current way to change out the passenger pegs, I caution you to use only a mini floorboard as a larger one likely won't fit on the left side.

Thanks for the picture. I guess a small washer could be placed in there too... but it sounds like it's not needed. Wife will be very happy and so will my checkbook.
