Spent about 8 hrs on the road today picking up a 2017 Fatboy. Shout out to the people of Wildcat Harley of London, KY and Jeff Cline the salesperson that handled my transaction. Haven't got the opportunity for a nice long ride yet due to weather but what little I have done it seems to be a good fit. I'll have a lot of Willie G stuff up for sale soon as the bike is covered in it and not my favorite. This is my fifth Harley in seven years so hopefully I'll settle in on this one. Here to say hello and I appreciate any advice, tips or whatever on owning a Softail. Thanks in advance.

Welcome...I've always owned Softails, great all-around bike.

 

Nice color,I think you'll enjoy the Fatboy, Love mine. Although the factory seat left much to be desired for me. I put 1 of the Mustang wide vintage touring seats on mine and it's Great. I couldn't go 30 miles on the stock seat without hurting, now I can do 500 mile rides with no trouble at all.

The bike came with a Sundowner bucket which I think the Ole Lady will like but plan to get a Mustang Wide Tripper solo for when I ride alone.

There is no end to the mods you can do that will make it more comfortable and perform better. But the first thing I would do is take a look at this Report.
