Default CB Radio for Heritage 2015

I have a 2015 Heritage and want to install a CB radio. Please let me know the part numbers of what I need to buy?

Since your bike doesn't have a fairing you'll most likely need something like J&M's #JMCB-2003 handlebar mounted CB (https://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=39) and an appropriate antenna. The hardest thing will be to find an antenna that works well and can be mounted to your bike. I tried H-D's CB antenna, and it sucks canal water through a straw, to put it mildly. While I have a '17 SGS that takes an H-D CB module, I was left searching for a decent antenna. I ended up buying a 3' Firestik2 (w/mounting kit) and modified it to fit my bike. After you manage to mount an antenna you still need to tune it to get the SWR down to it's lowest with a meter, otherwise you'll just be talking to yourself. (I used a RigExpert AA-30 to tune it centered on Channel 20). Here's picture of a tune on a cheap magnetic mount car CB antenna - it wouldn't tune to better than about 1.6:1 - ugh! The Firestik2 tuned to below 1.2:1, so I know it works well.

Thank you so much for such detailed information. I guess, after learning from you, I should skip the idea of getting a CB radio for my bike. But I appreciate it!

I would only install a CB on a bike if I already had friends that had CBs on their bikes, since H-D even quit installing them due to low use. I'm not saying they're hard to install, but the caveats are installing a good antenna, and getting it tuned correctly. If you have any friends that are into Ham Radio they'd be an excellent source of help, and would usually even have the tester to tune the antenna. Mounting the CB itself would be easy with the handlebar mount units available today, and they usually come with a wired headset w/mic.
