Default Installing new cans Fat Bob 114

Anyone else run into issues trying to install new slipons on the 2018 fat Bob? Specifically the top can. The mounting screws used to mount the can to the bracket are damn near impossible to get any tool on because of its proximity to the swingarm.

I have to be missing something obvious here.
Thanks for any input.

I used a 3/8" ratchet w/ a torx bit. It is a pia. You can also take the bracket / can off as an assembly.

Take the bracket and can off as one unit! Much easier.

Take the bottom can off first as the bolts are easily accessible, then remove the bracket with the top can. Make sure you also undo all the heat shields and the muffler clamps....

One other question. Anyone happen to know the torque spec on the bracket mounting to the frame of the bike?
If I remove the bracket the install that top can more easily, when i mount that bracket back to the bike, what torque spec should i use? Also should any thread locker be used on there as well?

thanks!
