I recently purchased a 2013 Heritage classic. Would like to use quick detach for sissy bar and saddle bags. Instructions say it won't work with passenger footboards. Does anyone know if it will actually work or way to make it work?

 

It won't work with the Harley Davidson passenger footboards because of the way they mount. I put the quick detach kit on my 2017 Heritage and installed a set of Kuryakyn passenger boards. They look great and they work just fine because they mount to the factory foot peg bracket. Basically, they are just replacement foot pegs.
