Some answers for the gas cap rattle and condensationin the speedo

My speedometer wil have no condensation at all in it.. but then after riding 20 min will fog up and remain throughout the entire time I'm riding. The condensation is so bad you cannot read the speedometer at all. When you park and it sits for x amount of time the condensation will go away, but now it as left little tiny pin droplets in there along with what looks like stains.
The MoCo denied my warranty claim. When I have time I'm going to go back to the dealership as they agreed to take additional pictures to fight to have it replaced under warranty.
I feel like I shouldn't have to go through this much work over this. I have Harleys and am USED to condensation in the speedometers.. but this is SEVERE and doesn't go away, to the point where I can't even make out what speed I'm traveling.

Try this at home. Place one drop of water in a glass covered pan/pot. Place over low heat and observe the inside of the glass cover. Look familiar?

I have the same moisture problem on my 18 Heritage 114. When out in the sun while riding it will fog up over the digital readout area at the bottom of the speedo. Also had the problem with the gas cap making annoying noise. I found an easy fix for the cap problem. Tighten cap till it clicks about 6-7 times and then back it off about 1/8 turn. Works every time.
I was told my the dealer that the speedo fogging can't be fixed. It's not a sealed unit and moisture can get in, causing the fogging. I just about lost it.
How long will it take for the moisture to eventually corrode the electrical parts and create a short or an open? Oh, but a non operational unit may be covered under warranty. That's the fix.
Are there any aftermarket solutions yet?
