I LOVE THE 250 wide tire look , but I personnaly think this is as wide as would want to go .You can check out my gallery for pics of the build , To get the look I wanted I also had to lower the rear with a set of White Brothers lowering bolts for the stock shocks, looked cool but the ride was harsh and bottoms out to easily, I now have my bike all apart again and am installing a set of Progressive AirTail shocks , I checked out all of the air suspension systems out and this one seemed to make the most sense to me from a value for the money and from a safety issue , being if I get a leak on the road IT wont completly bottom out because of the coil spring and one air shock as opposed to two air shocks, anyway will take pics of this and post later , still waiting on some parts.

FatBoy

I have saved the pic of your bike! because I think its one of the best looking modified stock Harleys I have ever seen, and I mean that!

I bought a 2006 FXSTC for the wide 200mm and love the looks...but that 250 is a real nice look on a stock Harley!

I have waited for a couple of years for Harley to get there 130/ 150 / 160 thing gone! and get want people want!

Nice Job....I hope they see your Bike some place in a show?

Ride Safe!

Any pre 06's on here with the 200 swap? I've got mine torn apart right now and I'm looking for the best belt to chain conversion that I can find. Having trouble because there's not alot out there for complete kits for the 00-05 softails.

Ok I have a question?
Can I put a 200 on my Deuce with out changing the back fender?
I know I will have to change the swing arm. So hope someone can answer this for me.

Gary,
Thanks!! I measured the inside of my rear fender and it looks like the 150 is as wide as I can go unless I change it out... Does you Deuce have a wider (8"+) rear fender?
The Deuce does have a wider guard then the 05 and older Nightrains and FXSTs. I am not a big fan of the wide guard on the 06 models. I think to get the fat *** effect you must have the smallest guard with a tyre that fills it out nicely. Not the other way around.

You can put a 170 on your Nightrain. It will be a tight fit but will work with a bit of mucking around.

Hey duece 06, look at DM customs, they say you can put a 200 on a duece with the stock fender, you can run a 200 on all the softails with the stock swingarm. They run the stock belt and shift the tire over, I want the tire centered so I'm going to a chain to get the clearance.
