Default Solution for a Hot Butt

I recently got a Saddlemen Explorer seat for my 2018 FatBoy.

The other day, it was 101 degrees here, really hot. Hopped on the bike and my *** was so hot I had to sit on the pillion pad for relief.

I knew this had to be fixed. I have heard somewhere IIRC, that gel seats transfer heat really well.

So, I had some of this stuff from my wife's previous FJR, figured I would try it.

I cut out a piece to fit underneath my seat and it went great.

No more hot butt and didn't have to shop for asbestos underwear.

Don't ask me where I got it as I can't remember that far back, but it is readily available online.

Many of our customers have told us that after installing one of our crotch coolers that it cuts down on the amount of heat transferred to the seat . We do not advertise this but yes it does make sense because of the width of our product under the seat .. If the oil dipstick burns you or the heat makes you uncomfortable this is where our product really performs.. If you ever have a question please let us know .. Thank you Itch ..

Hi Captain,

I just recently saw your product and think it sounds great. I have been to your website and may very well get one for myself and my wife's Indian Scout.

It is on my wish list, but sometimes I don't get to control what comes off of it. :-)

Tom

I highly reccomend the Capt. Itch Crotch cooler for when you're riding and the Cool-*** seat cover when you're parked. You won't believe the comfort difference.

Wow, that Cool-*** seat cover matches the aluminum foil I line my helmets with........

I don't line the helmet for heat, just to help stop the voices.......

OP- That's an interesting fix... I was always under the impression that gel seats get hot from the sun beating down on them, you stopped it by isolating the seat from the engine heat..? Interesting indeed....

Is that radiator foil or something like thermo-tac? I have a crotch cooler but I still need something to help cool the seat so the *** of my pants don’t look like I sat inside of a sauna with them on.
