Wrinkle or gloss black Outer Primary Pics
#11
OK... this may be a little before your time... but....
The only gloss black primary cover I had was on my 1980 FXS. I liked the gloss black contrast to the black wrinkle finish on the rest of the engine.
I kept that bike for 9 years and 118,000 miles. When I traded it in on a 1989 Heritage, with one of them new fangled EVO engines, the black primary would still shine up like new... very little "wear" marks on it...
I think it looks much better than a black wrinkle outer primary on a black wrinkle engine... but that's just my opinion...

Wrinkle. Gloss just looks like a lonely bastard sitting there. If the horn cover had still been located there I'd say gloss them both and it would look good.
If you did gloss it, gloss everything. Rockers, covers, etc... lose all the major chrome. Keep the chrome highlights like on the forks, triple tree, etc...
Just for your own cleaning sanity and longevity, get those spokes powdered.
