Default Oil coolers

Who has an oil cooler on their bike? Will an oil cooler help prolong engine life seeing how's it's hotter than the hobs of hell in the South during summer months?

I have one. No complaints. Can't say if it made a difference because I installed it a few weeks after I got the bike. I don't have much of a performance history on which to make a credible judgement. By the way, I'm in Phoenix, Arizona. We go to Hell to cool off in the summer.

I run one on my Deluxe, same as AZRenegade I live in AZ, already 107 today, just the extra oil helps a little. It's not hell but I think we can see it from here. LOL, Ride safe.

Look into the ultracool 2.0. You can email earl , he is very helful. They have a dual fan setup that activates by a thermostat at 210 degrees. I checked my oil temps after a 20 minute highway stretch at 84 degree ambient temp and had a 215 degree oil temp. I already have a hd cooler without fans , which is no good in traffic. So I'm upgrading.

I imagine they help the rear cylinder a lot because the cooling vanes of the rear block are facing away from the wind

Added a Jagg oil cooler w/fan to my 13 breakout. Also added an extra override switch for parades. It does a good job.

I had the HD cooler on my previous 2012 Fatboy and it lowered the temperature about 10-15 degrees. I'm planning on putting one on my '17 Fatboy S.

I have a jagg 10 row on my dyna with a built motor. I notice from having it that my oil seems to stay cleaner longer. If that makes any sense. Meaning the oil life isn't decreased as fast especially living in hot *** Florida.

I have a Jagg 10 Row Wideline on my Heritage. It dropped my oil temps by 20-40 degrees, depending on the ambient temps and speed being ridden.

I've also done an Oil Filter Relocation that was good for another 10 degree drop in oil temps...plus it makes oil changes Much easier.

Here's a LINK to a good report on different things you can do to drop temps, have more power and better engine longevity.
