Default 2018 Softail Slim 10" apes

First off, unlike the previous year slims all cables and wire extensions are needed to put on 10" apes. You could reuse clutch cable if necessary, but I replaced. I ordered the OEM 2018 Street bob clutch, and brake lines and also purchased Harley wire extensions for switch housings, throttle by wire, and blinkers. Bars are Khrome Werks 10" Bobber apes part #300860. Ordered from Dennis Kirk for $75.00 shipped. The quality of bars and powder coating are as good as OEM, and color is a perfect match. I was hoping I would be able to reuse all cables but oh well. It turned out good anyway.

Thanks. Yes it's much more comfortable than the stock bars, and I like the looks much better than the Hollywood bars.

Looks good man! I'm trying to decide what I want to do on my 18 lowrider. I keep seeing mixed ideas on who needs what cables... I'll just order the entire kit and roll with it when I pick something out!

I was trying to get out cheap, but ended up still having to extend everything. The new softails have minimal wiring slack and nonexistent brake line slack. Clutch has a little wiggle room. Your lowrider looks great too man!

Nice looking bars! I have a 2017 Slim and beginning the transformation. What type of grips do you have?
Thanks!
