Default DIY Seat Rebuild

I have an 09 Rocker C, love the bike, not so much the seat. I have the factory Rocker and Rocker C seats and Touring setup. Have a Danny Grey as well. After viewing seat recovering videos on YouTube I started thinking about doing the same. Found someone not too far from where I live that sells a kit or will rebuild my seat. Curious if anyone else has rebuilt their seat and did the results meet your expectations?

Rebuilt?
Are you talking about doing a gel insert?
I had my Ultra seat cut down and gelled.
My seat was 10X the seat after the work was done.
But like stated I had mine cut down to fit my @$$.
After that 12-13 hour day/days were not a big deal.
If there is a negative to gel it would be it can get hot, especially while setting in the sun.
Before the work after a 12 hour day I was sore for a couple days.
I may just contact these guys myself.
As for recovering seats it's not that hard as long as you have the tools for the year of seat.
Looking at my 17 it looks like no special tools needed though.
My wife and I have pulled car/truck seats apart and repaired and re-skinned.
Most of them required hog ring pliers.

A lot of folks in here like 'meancity cycles' for stock seat mods.

GRWHD,

Yes, cutting foam and installing a gel insert. I spoke with Dave yesterday and decided to send the seat to him and have him do the install. As he is @ 80 miles from me I sent the seat Priority Mail for $11. Cheaper than driving.
