Default Raising passanger pegs ?

I have an '05 FXST with SE double barrel exhaust. I need to raise the rear pegs a bit to clear the exhaust and for piece of mind from passengers messing up the chrome on the pipes. Curious what others have done to avoid this dilemma.

PS..."hey honey can you take off your shoes"....LOL

It's not easy to do on a Softtail due to the one bolt mounting of the passenger pegs.

I used this kit from J&P Cycles. Requires drilling the mounting bolt hole out ot 1/2".

Kuryakyn has these...combined with these...or these... it should work, too.

kuryakyn also has stirrups thatkeep the passenger's heel up off the muffler. They also provide a nice heel rest back there. Unless she has really short legs, something like this would probably be more comfortable than raising her feet up.

Does anyone have the aboveset-up on their bike??

I ended up putting in a 1" spacer on the pipe side rear peg. It brought my wifes foot far enough away from the pipes and it seemed to do the trick. She hasn't destroyed a shoe or exhaust pipe since.

I really liked the Kuryakyn Switch Blade pegs. I just didn't like the price. [:@]
