Does the 2018 Heritage or any of the softails have the slip and assist clutch ?

No.

They are cable operated clutches, not hydraulic like on the touring bikes. So there is no slipper clutch - but I think it "may" have the assist function. It's certainly a lighter pull than on my Dyna....

No one said anything about hydraulic. It is Harley's version of a slipper clutch. So, yes, it is...

Exactly as I said. Assist but no slip. I remember watching that video when the new Softails were launched.

It's a nice clutch nonetheless. Although I would have liked the slip function as I do sometimes find the rear tyre skipping on fast downshifts.

However - having the cable means there's no fluid transfer issue like on some of the Touring bikes.

There are some dealer websites out there that still list the bikes as having a slipper clutch, also some that still say the Fat Bob has the cats in the mufflers.

you can always install a rekluse clutch...really nice...you can downshift 3-4 gears at high speeds and it still wont lock up...even the harley so-called slipper will still lock up the rear wheel at times...you have to get a real slipper to get what u want
