Fatboy saddlebags

RE: Fatboy saddlebags
I bought a matching set for my deluxe which cost $799.00 banana's.
I too hate the looks of having bags hanging off the back but as you all stated above, it's a must . That's so you can carry all the rest of the stuff home you just bought at the bike shop.
If you travel around with your wife, the bags are to small. In my case I'll have to start looking for a trailer.

How do they look?.. ok.. to be quite honest, I don't think any bags look all that good on a fatboy.
It's almost as if that bike was meant to stay completely naked.

If I have to carry stuff I bungee it to the backrest.

RE: Fatboy saddlebags
I'll probably never put bags on mine either.........
I will, however, get a sissybar and rack. Then buy either a large T-Bag or Kuryakyn bag to go on the sissybar. Plan on doing a lot of camping this year. And I think this will be the best bet. Problem is, the saddlebags don't really hold anything. My buddy put a jacket in one bag and it was full........Can't see spending all that money on a couple of very limited storage bags.

i have hd bags for the stock pipes, but since i lowered my pipes, i am now buying bossbags they are bigger and tough and the piggyback bags make extra room also. my bags are now quick release as with my new ones will be. my windshield, sissybar,an rear seat is all quick release also. i dont like the bags all the time but their a must for long rides

RE: Fatboy saddlebags
Got a killer deal on mine from e-bay
They don't hold much... I do carry tools, water, and some misc stuff that can make life easy during tough times.
I also added a windshield bag. Great for air gauge, due rags, extra shades, garage door opener, MP3 player....
Some picts

RE: Fatboy saddlebags
Hey Chris,
I just recently finished putting a 250 tire , struts and rear fender on my Fatboy , so I now have a brand new set of HD saddle bags that I no longer can use because they will no longer fit,
as many before have said I to never really wanted to run my bike wiwth bags but I bought them for my wife to put her stuff in them , well I have actually used them once here at the state HOG rally , about the only time my wife will actually even ride with me, at any rate Inow have them for sale , they are the large bags I figured if I going to have bags on they might as well be usefull and large enough to at least carry something, these bags are just like new probably have 50 miles on them and then they stay in my climate controlled shop , I also have a Mustang seat with removable backrest and passenger seat , HD sissybar with pad all of which I cant use now because of the 250 conversion I will try and include pics but If you are interested you can email me and Iwill send pics and more info
